successes/failures from the last few weeks since online gambling is now legal in Michigan.
Fun one from last night: I've been having some modest success with live betting. Big Ten games in particular. I watch the game and watch the numbers on FanDuel and if I see one I like I will jump on it. Last night with about 16 minutes to go in the Maryland/Nebraska game FanDuel set the O/U at 150.5. At that point the teams had combined for 96 points. So, I placed a wager on it. As soon as I placed the bet there were three blank possessions in a row. Looking good, right?? No. all of the sudden both teams decide to make some 3s, foul on made 3s, make and 1s, etc...
Bottom line, I hit the Under with a final of 79-71, surviving by 1/2 point. I was screaming at the tv in the final minute. Never been so happy to see Maryland dribble out the clock in my life.
All of this was for $35.
It's incredible to me how close the lines are on most games. I would love to see the process/math these guys use to arrive at the lines.
