That’s about it. There’s a reason top positions require multiple interviews. The university Is a not factor at interview 2 and on. You’re hired based on your potential to succeed. So the argument that selecting UM in the recruiting process is a 40 year decision is BS. How you perform in your job and how well you get along with people dictates your success, not what school you attended. Our “40 year” recruiting statement is a second or third rate argument to kids selecting where they want to play football...obviously less important than location, weather, football success, etc. It may work on a few kids each cycle but not many elite kids.
