For her girl scout gold award, my daughter has created a maker space in our local small town library.
She had to convince the grand rapids girl scout counsel that a tech project funded by grants was a good idea - they hated both parts of the idea. But she stuck with it and got it through the approval process.
She secured 3 grants for over $12,000, ordered the equipment and is in the process of getting the equipment running and training people to use/monitor/train others to use it.
