the only thing that stopped us in the second half was the phantom hold on higdon. thats it. it was perfect lloydball other than that. but a couple of notes...

shea is still improving. he won't miss that bullet down the middle again. [although Nico...nuff said]
gentry came back to the ball. need everyone to learn to do that.
this was a field position game for northwestern. once we scored and kicked them deep, they never crossed midfield again. too damn bad we went on 4th and gave them that last short field.
our defense raised the level of intensity. if you were there you saw it. we played like dogs in the 4th Q.
its been 2 years since we won at "winning time"...yesterday was a step up.
oh PS...ronnie bell can get behind the defense seemingly at will. might want to go there.
