First off, my account here went dead for about a week as i was waiting to update my payment. Its true you don't know what ya got till its gone because i was talking more to myself then normal yesterday...
Anyways some good..
-For being so 'young', they play with such poise. The picks made me nervous that it was getting away but our boys came prepared.
-Devin Bush...good grief that boy has elite recognition and flies everywhere. Just needs to be careful, we cant lose him.
-Oline in conjunction with the TEs are moving people and you can see the flexibility. For being a low 2 star, Ulizio looks like the part on the right side. Pass pro blunders but those are very good edge players.
-RBs, lil Harbs has a deep and talented group but they are also a big part of that good pass protection yesterday.
-loved the adjustments in the run game, Florida clearly was overcompensating to stop our inside run game. Their back side consistently crashed down and left room for those bounced runs and bootleg game.
-DLine is overpowering, nuff said.
-DBs were better than expected, Hudson and Metellus are so versatile.
The OK
-Rashan is so physical and a good option as a base end but i cant help but see him as a future all time DT. Hes a freak but hes also pretty stiff around the edge.
-Loved what Isaac did but hes still more finesse than power. He has moments where be could really set a tone by running through but he pulls up.
-Speight. Clearly some comfort issues early, sailing balls seems to be his thing. In the second half he had a few deep balls that could hit but he just lets everything fly too high..needs to improve (same issues from last year). Still love the way he plays in the pocket and typically makes the right decisions.
All in all, a good early test but Florida wasnt in our league. Expectations should be high.
