1). This game wasn’t as close as the score indicated. If they leave the starters in the game Penn State doesn’t even smell field goal range. That was about as complete a game by the defense as you’ll see. I’m racking my brain trying to think of another game where the defense dominated so thoroughly a ranked opponent and I’m coming up with ziltch..
2). Patterson’s confidence is sky high and is becoming deadly with the zone read option. Loved seeing him throw the deap ball to Black. A WR core of Black, DPJ, Collins combined with the TEs..who are you going to stop? It’s pick your poison for opposing defenses at this point of the season.
3). Another whole 60 minutes of no holding calls against the front seven. Something smells fishy..statistically it’s almost impossible given the type of athletes we have and the type of blitzing defense Don Brown runs.
3 weeks..until The Game.
3 weeks for OSU to think about how our defense is dominant.
3 weeks of Meyer knowing the best passing defense in the land is gonna shut down his one dimensional team.
