Congratulations to the Spartans. This MSU team outcoached Michigan, outplayed Michigan, and though some of the officiating was just plain bad, MSU deserved this win. Michigan did not lead once during this game, they had no fire, no passion, and seemed to have listened to everyone who said it would be easy.
Can’t reiterate enough how abysmal, awful and shameful the coaching was in this game. Wildcat? TWICE?? After marching down the field with Joe, it seemed like a good idea to have Joe on the sidelines near the goal line???
But hey, down by 10 at the end there, they got a TD and ended the game with 2 TIMEOUTS remaining and 36 seconds left. Bravo.
YES the officiating was again terrible. I expect that, I really do. MSU’s last TD drive continued because of a non-catch on 3rd down that they didn’t review for some unknown reason. But folks, Michigan did not lead once in this game. The Mel Tucker Hire that I admit to have had a few chuckles over showed me. Completely outcoached, outmaneuvered and out-thought our coaching staff.
My season is over and I do not say that lightly. Feel bad for the kids. It’s on them, too, but they obviously were not prepped properly and they aren’t getting paid $9M a year to make sure that, win or lose, you are prepared to give it your best shot.
