is not coming to Michigan.

Being realistic not pessimistic. And unlike many who live and die daily by where every kid is going, especially the big ones like Najee, I will be over it 5 seconds later.

Kevin Grady a 5 star RB did not lead us to a national title. Nor did Derrick Green a 5 star RB.
Maybe Najee will be different (seems like it). Maybe he won't.
Regardless, we are not going to win or lose a NC next year or the year after because of him being or not being on our roster.

You are the biggest pessimist on the board!!! What ounce of reality do you speak off? You do realize that since JH has cranked up recruiting we have had:
  • #1 first unanimous recruit across all sites - Rashan Gary - come to Michigan
  • #1 Center in the country already enrolled at Michigan - Ruiz
  • #1 WR in the country enrolling next week at Michigan - DPJ
  • #1 PK in the country from last year playing at Michigan
  • #1 FB in the country from last year playing at Michigan
  • #4 Pro QB in the country committed to Michigan
  • #3 OLB in the country committed to Michigan
  • #5 OT in the country from last year started every game at Michigan this year
  • #3 TE in the country from last year at Michigan
  • #4 OG from last year at Michigan
  • #4 RB from last year at Michigan
You are right - you are a complete realist!!! I don't know what standards you live by but that looks pretty darn impressive to me. JH can recruit with the best of them and it would not shock me at all if we gets the #1 RB in country to land at Michigan. I saw Harris goes Blue!

Maybe not win the Natty next year, but according to Harris he said Harbaugh told him we would have won the Orange Bowl vs. the Noles last Friday!!

There's no doubt the recruiting has stepped up a notch with Harbs in town. We're just a notches below the truly elite programs. When we get there, it's time to play for natty's....

To recruit like FSU, Bama, and OSU, you need to play for national championships. We haven't done that yet, and this is still a hell of a class. It will get better with a better season.

We're creeping up on those programs now. Now for the final & most difficult step.. multiple 5* players per class..

There's not much difference in a 5 star and a 4 star recruit. It's all about coaching and how much the kid wants to be great.

In general, I agree - but I was pointing out the fact that JH has been able to sell the "best of the best" to come to Michigan and that's a start

So weren't Grady and Green "super big time" recruits WHEN we landed them?
You can't use revisionist history and decide that they weren't huge recruiting wins based on what they ended up doing later.

They were not that big a deal. Maybe to you they were,,,,

It's not revisionist history. Some of us know our history, some don't. Green, Grady, Peppers, etc, guys we get have never, ever been as big a fight as those we lose out on last minute. MAYBE, Gary is an exception depending on whose stories you believe. I tend to not believe people who are selling something. Maybe that's just me though.

Almost every really, really top end big time recruit where the battle goes down to the last minute before EE time or at signing day disappears. Sorry, it's the truth. Maybe there is a reason for that. Maybe it is bad luck. Who knows. What I do know is that last Wednesday at 5:38 when I created this post, I was 100% he was not coming to Michigan. Seen this show before over and over and over and over again. Maybe we will continue to see this show. Maybe we won't. Regardless, this was obvious to some of us who aren't sold a bill of goods by people trying to make money.

Oh, and one more thing. Count in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 until the next time some of us who read TOS are sucked in with the next biggest recruit we still have a chance with this late, even though we really don't.
