While I was watching the Big Ten Championship back again, I noticed Michigan pulled out the big plays early. They ran a HB pass, a few J.J. RPOs, and a double reverse in the first quarter.
I think Michigan knows if it creates separation early, the game is won given how bad Iowa is offensively.
The risk is obvious given how turnover-happy the Iowa defense is, but I wouldn’t be surprised at an aggressive approach early from Matt Weiss & Sherrone Moore.
Not sourced. Just a hunch.
