He has played 6 games against Michigan in his career. He averages nearly a double-double: 14 ppg and 9.5 rpg, and shoots 50% from the field:
2019 @ Michigan 15 pts 11 reb 5/10 shooting
2018 @ Michigan 12 pts 6 reb 4/8 shooting
2017 @ BTT 13 pts 9 reb 5/12 shooting
2017 @ Minnesota 16 pts 15 reb 7/13 shooting
2016 @ Minnesota 14 pts 11 reb 5/11 shooting
2016 @ Michigan 13 pts 8 reb 6/11 shooting
Murphy is definitely the man to stop, but Michigan really has never stopped him. He churns out the same stats nearly every game against Michigan.
Some stats on a couple of Minnesota's other key players vs. Michigan:
Amir Coffey has only played three games against Michigan (he missed the one game in 2018). In those three games he has shot 37.5% from the floor, averaged 11 points and 5 rebounds. Decent production, but probably less production than Minnesota would want from a guy who is supposed to be one of their premier players. He just seems really hot and cold in terms of his interest. If Matthews can keep him in check Michigan should have a good chance to win:
2019 @ Michigan 11 pts 5 reb 4/11 shooting
2018 @ Michigan DNP
2017 @ BTT 13 pts 6 reb 4/9 shooting
2017 @ Minnesota 9 pts 4 reb 1/4 shooting
Dupree McBrayer hasn't been a very good shooter against Michigan, shooting 38.7%. He made up for that in two of the games by getting to the line 7 times and 8 times, making 80% of his free throws. Despite being a guard he doesn't create for others, averaging just over 1.5 assists per game vs. Michigan (he is averaging just 3.1 for this season). He is shooting 35% from three against Michigan for his career (this season he's shooting just 29% from three, down from 34% his junior year and 41.6% his sophomore year).

2018 @ Michigan 5 pts 2 reb 1 asst 2/9 shooting

Isaiah Washington is a bench player who has only played against Michigan twice. He's only worth mentioning because his first game last (when Minnesota was short handed and without Coffey) he went off for a career high of 26 points on 11/16 shooting - that's eight points more than his previous career high. This season he's only scored in double figures twice and had a big zero against Michigan at Crisler, attempting only 1 shot in 12 minutes. So go figure.
