I love this guy, so don't get me wrong, I'm a jimmy kool-aid drinker and damn proud of it. And NO, this is not a, "maybe this is why our team is struggling post." This is simply an observation in a vacuum. Not sure it matters, interested to get your take on the following...

Ever since Jimmy got the penalty at the OSU game last year and cost the team yards in a pivotal game where inches mattered, it seems that Jimmy has become a shell of his former explosive self at least as it pertains to those epic sideline blowups we've seen at Stanford, the Niners, and his early years at UM (up to The Game).

I'm not a player, but I know for a fact when he would blowup on the sideline defending our team it would fire me up sitting on a couch… So I can only imagine that his players on the sideline 10 yards away from him would feel the same if not more.

Something changed after that game. My guess is it was remorse for costing his kids yards. Maybe fatherly advice from Jack, "hey, you are representing UM and these kids," though I'm hard pressed to believe that given neither Jack nor Bo were ever shy about blowing up on a sideline.

Again, don't get me wrong, I love this guy as much as a dude can love another dude haha. And definitely not saying we are a Hoke team lacking that fire and grit. But something is different WRT to that fire ON THE SIDELINE. Not saying the fire isn't there in practice nor am I in any way saying this has anything to do with our recent struggles. Simply an observation that the energy, in this one narrow and specific way, has changed.
I jokingly say, I hope this isn't a Tiger Woods syndrome... my theory is tiger needed all those extracurricular shenanigans to balance him out haha...

I for one miss the EXTROVERT passion. Point being, ZERO doubt jimmy has the passion to attack each day... but I miss the crazy eyes! I liked when other teams/players thought he was nuts haha. It was never aimed at our players ala the big douche bag Brian Kelly... it was always in defense of our guys. Fired me up... I'm sure it fired some of our guys up, too. What say you?
