you're not playing the Seattle Seahawks, you're playing Northwestern. you don't have seasoned pros on your O-Line that can execute complex schemes, you have Michael Onwenu and Jon Runyan (no dis-respect intended). It just seems like 73 different things have to be right on some of these plays for it to be executed.
from the outside, this situation is begging for Jim to bring in an experienced college OC and hand him the reins.
it still seems like we're just throwing a bunch of crap against the wall and seeing what sticks. we're getting a bunch of contributions from a bunch of people, but is it really coming together into a cohesive plan, or is Jimmy just being stubborn with that he ideally wants to do and only reluctantly mixing some other things in when times get desperate?
