Seems like his name should be getting more run. He currently has a top 15 defense at FAU and has always been a top defensive mind in the game. South Florida hasn’t been relevant since he left as the head coach. He coached on Harbaughs staff in San Fran. This just makes a lot of sense in my opinion. I know Mason has ties as well but after being terminated at Vandy as HC would he run straight into a coordinator job? Obviously no one knows at this point. I like Leavitt though. There is a good base of talent on defense. With the right scheme it just needs coached up and put in a position to be successful. He definitely checks that box.
