I think a lot of people here have had the assumption that Jay ONLY has the job because he's Jim's son. That may be where it started but I have to say, I disagree with the 6-year running narrative that he's a crap coach. I think he's done well with every position group he's handled. My only complaint is the RB rotation this year and there seems to be debate as to how much control he actually had over that.
The constant harping that he sux is unfair based on the results of his position groups. I would say that since he left the TE group they have regressed. Personally, I would like him to coach the WR room.
His recruiting prowess can't be denied either. He is one of the top recruiters on staff and we desperately need good recruiters.
He's an easy target because his name is Harbaugh but I think this Harbaugh has done a good job.
