For those not keeping score, he's going to be a seventh year senior on his fourth school. The previous three coaches who signed him have been fired. Many were unhappy that we passed on Coleman-Lands after we took Duncan Robinson. Next season, Duncan will be on the first year of a mid/high eight figures professional contract, while Coleman-Lands, aka, the John Bluto Blutarsky of college hoops, will still be playing under the auspices of the NCAA.
This reminds me of one of my all-time favorite message board posts, penned by my law school roommate, a rabid Illinois fan. When Coleman-Lands committed to Illinois, a poster ridiculed Michigan for taking Duncan and passing on Coleman=Lands, saying that he had seen film of Robinson and Coleman-Lands was much better. To his credit, despite his Illinois fandom, Michael replied "Your evaluation skills, John Beilein's evaluation skills, I'm taking Beilein."
