Time to move on. Bad loss, it is what it is. Hurts that it was MSU, hurts that reality may be setting in with Harbaugh and staff, but there is another game to be played this weekend.
Now let me get this out of the way for the children on the board (me included):
- are we concerned about penetration by Penix
- I am sure they will ride Penix heavily
- We will need to keep Penix in the box to have success
- We don’t need Penix to explode on us
Alright, now we can discuss this for real.
It is easy to look at what happened this past weekend and start saying we are going to lose every game. IU has won two games here, beat PSU who actually did ok against OSU.
But let’s remember, PSU gave that game to them, and they beat Rutgers.
IU doesn’t have the personnel to push us around like MSU did. They will score points on us, but I expect our offense to look much better against them, much more like it did against Minny. I also think this loss might light a fire under the kids and the staff. This team is better than it showed on Sat, and I think we see that show up this weekend.
Another game where the talent gap on paper is huge. More times than not that will play a role in the outcome. The line of -4 is an indication that a lot of people feel the same way I do. If I were a betting man (and I am 😊) these are the games that you take what appears to be the odd line. Fact is, -4 is value towards Michigan.
