Pass O: C. Lots of bad throws and plays that could have been made. Pass Pro still needs some work too. A few great plays mixed in. QB play needs to improve, but at least no INT's were thrown.
Run O: B+ When we ran the ball, we had success for the most part. Isaac broke out today and had over 6.5 YPC. Can't blame the run O for the OC not calling run plays. A few bad plays but not many TFL's today. Solid when we leaned on them.
Over all Offense Grade: C+ Offense got a little,better as the game went along. Some strange play calling and Speight causing a turnover and botching a 1st and goal run hurt. You could easily convince me they deserve a C but the bright spot was Isaac.
Run Defense: A. They could never establish a run game. A few runs got a few yard including their TD run. But over all the run D was solid and good.
Pass Defense: B. Our secondary was very suspect at times. They did make a few plays too. They snagged two pick 6's, otherwise they would have been a B- or C plus. A few times we allowed screen passes and wide open receivers to hurt us. A LOT of passes left on the field for Cinci today that could have easily been completed.
Over all Defense: B. Despite the run game being shut down, we still could have been had today if a better team was playing us. This D shows potential. And has the ability to be a top 10 D again this year. Today was not Florida. Today we showed some areas to improve. But we also showed that even when our D isn't perfect we are still very tough to move the ball on.
Special Teams: C. Kicking game was better. Punt game was poor to mediocre. Return game was blah and caused a critical turnover too. Overall we need to make better decisions and plays on special teams. Kudos to our kicker for hitting kicks today that expanded our lead and kept the other team out of the game.
Over All Team Grade: B- Close to a C but we improved in the second half and fourth quarter. Still a lot of areas to improve before we start talking BIG CHAMPS and what not.
