the general craziness on this board. Of the 3 previous hires:
1. Lloyd Carr - incredible skepticism...turned out rather well, although many had lots of problems with him...
2. RichRod - incredible excitement...which turned sour when he couldn't get everyone on the same page and didn't recruit well...
3. Brady Hoke - nervous acceptance...which turned into incredible excitement when he could get everyone on the same page and recruited really well...which turned sour when everyone realized he couldn't coach 'em up...
Now we have the Prodigal Son, Jim Harbaugh...the saviour of the program. High 5's all around when we got it done...and 4 months later, before a meaningful down of football has been played, lots are wringing their hands wondering how long before we're relevant, or that's an awful lot of attrition, or the cupboard is empty at the important positions, or shouldn't he be getting more commits by now, or [insert the concern du jour]...
Status quo at The Fort, for sure...we live in a time of instant gratification, no doubt...
...but quite entertaining...
