My good news is that I am encouraged by some of the things I hear coming out of spring ball. I'm happy to hear Mazi is finally starting to be a factor. We have some good size (per the depth chart) from our starters on the D-Line. The back-ups could use a little more tonnage, but they have time to get bigger.
I think there are many questions that won't be answered until fall, but I am more encouraged and less discouraged.
Business is running at pre-Covid levels, and we are wondering how we're gonna get it all done instead of what we are going to do. It's a great problem to have.
The wife is leaving town on Sunday to attend a funeral for a family member at Arlington. After a year of protecting or special needs boy from Covid, I'm grateful for her to get out of town. She and her siblings will take a few days while in DC to have a mini vacation.
Meanwhile, I'll have Mike on my own for a few days. I'm not as good a caregiver as she is, but I am in training this week, so when she comes back, he'll still be happy and healthy.
Today is a good day so far.
