My good news is UM football is still on track to start in less than two weeks. I'm very excited!!!
Covid works in my favor!! I was supposed to go to a wedding on the 24th and I was concerned. It started at 5 and is an hour away from my house. I would have had to go to the ceremony, make a brief appearance at the reception, and drive like a bat out of hell to get home. BUT!!! Last night my WIFE of all people said, 'how would you feel if I got us out of the wedding?" I tried to play it cool thinking this was some sort of evil test but, she said the bride has requested that it be a mask-free event. With our special needs son at home, Marilyn was like...Ah...NO! So, there is a God and he let 2020 finally smile on me.
Last week I took a road trip to West Va. for my mom's sister's funeral. It was a great trip and more of a celebration than a sad event. My aunt had been sick for quite a while and was strong in her faith. We saw lots of family we don't usually see and my mom was really grateful to see everyone. The drive was beautiful and the mountains got more colorful the further north we went.
When I got back I had a bit of a sore throat so I went and got tested for the virus. The test was interesting. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I had the results in 20 minutes. Negative. I guess you can still get a cold and not have Covid in 2020.
Work is crazy busy and life is good. Once I get past this little cold I'll be good to go.
