My good news is Michigan Football 24/7. The Wisconsin game was truly a throwback to the days of old. After the first half of missed opportunities, we were able to punish Wisky in a way that would have made Bo proud.
What a weekend it was. We arrived in AA about 10:30 on Friday and headed over to Schembechler Hall to pick up our pre-game field passes. While we were there Jon Jansen, Victor Hopson, Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Maria Angola showed up. It was great. They were all friendly and we were able to chat and get pictures.
Next, we headed for the M-Den and while we were there, so were Angelique Chengelis and Jamie Morris. I was able to get photos with both. I had a fantastic 30-minute conversation with Angelique, she is a lovely person.
Next, we headed over to the ESPN set and they went crazy for my brother's tattoo. They asked us if we could come back for the filming of College Football Update live at 4:00 and of course we said yes. We came back and going to a commercial break they show "The Arm" on TV and we whooped and hollered. It was great fun. After the show, we got to meet Desmond and take some pictures and he's a really a nice guy.
Saturday we spent the day walking around AA and we really enjoyed being down on the field during warmups. There were recruits everywhere. We got pictures with a lot of people including Blake Griffin. I had a really nice talk with Victor Hopson and a short conversation with Zach Harrison. He said he was having a really good time. My favorite moment was when Nick Eubanks came over and photobombed our picture and we didn't even know it. I'll post that picture. My brother is the guy with the arm. I'm next to him then his brother in law Shawn and his other brother in law Justin. Justin is a little bit special needs but he loves him some Michigan football. The two with the beards have pledged NOT to cut their whiskers until the Wolverines win the BIG. The Brother in law with the beard is a retired Army special forces sniper so who am I to argue.
The game was spectacular and the perfect conclusion to a perfect weekend. It was one of the best weekends ever. Chris Fowler and Angelique both posted the arm to their twitter feeds and we bathed in the limelight of our 15 minutes of fame. It's over now but it was great in the moment.
