Looked it up today and in Michigan's last 3 tourney losses, they went a combined 7-55 from 3 point range. That's almost unfathomably cold. If we spent the entire UCLA game just having Davis pull up for 3 every possession, he probably would have went about 7-55.
If we could just avoid those "can't hit the broad side of a barn" game in the tournaments, who knows what kind of championship winning juggernaut we might be right now.
And before anyone says we weren't beating Villanova or Texas Tech no matter what, do the math. Both of those games would have been right down to the wire if we had just hit the 3 ball at our season average. One of these years, we are going to be the team that catches fire from deep during the tournament, and we're just going to run everyone off the floor.
