We've been following the Jake Rudock-transfer story for a few weeks, noting just 10 days ago or so that while the Rudock family is keen on spending the 2015 season in Ann Arbor as a fifth-year graduate student, that Michigan was not as excited about the possibility, sources telling us it was highly doubtful.

After getting a chance to see what they had to work with in spring practice, could the Wolverines be considering the prospect now? Just maybe. Sources on the Iowa side share that traction is growing to make this happen for Rudock, who would be eligible immediately as part of the NCAA legislation passed just a few years ago.

Our U-M sources have gone quiet, which may or may not mean anything, but considering there was an adamant dismissal of the rumor the last time we checked in, it's certainly possible a lack of response hints the Maize and Blue are at least considering the proposal and would prefer not to comment one way or the other until they know for sure.

A two-year starter for the Hawkeyes, Rudock completed 60.3 percent of his pass attempts in 2013-14 for 4,819 yards with 34 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He had 16 TDs compared to five INTs last season.

Michigan has three scholarship QBs on its roster this spring - junior Shane Morris, sophomore Wilton Speight and freshman Alex Malzone - and will welcome freshman Zach Gentry in the summer. Houston transfer John O'Korn will also be joining the fray but is not eligible until 2016.
