What we've picked up today on the assistant coach front ...

In addition to Don Brown being relieved of his duties, it appears head coach Jim Harbaugh will be making several other moves that indicate he's at least planning on being here next season. From what we've gathered, Harbaugh plans to coach quarterbacks himself. Ben McDaniels has held that role the last two seasons.

In addition, we're hearing running backs coach Jay Harbaugh will be coaching special teams only, meaning U-M will be looking for an addition there. Former Michigan running back Mike Hart has been on the radar in the past — he's now at Indiana, but we would imagine he'll be approached again.

We imagine there could be other moves, as well. Watch for more on these and other developments in the hours and days to come.
