*** As I reported earlier today, Rivals100 Boston (Mass.) Noble & Greenough offensive lineman Drew Kendall was set to have a call with Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive line coach Ed Warinner. I'm told the call went extremely well. Michigan is still pushing to get Kendall in this class sooner rather than later, and Kendall is still looking to put an end to his recruitment before the end of the month.
*** Even though there was no type of silent commit or anything of that nature, I feel a little more at ease about my pick for Kendall to land at Michigan. This call actually centered around Kendall and his process with the Ross School of Business. I'm told that's a deal breaker for Kendall. If accepted, which I believe he will be, I'm told that may be the final tipping point for him to go ahead and side with the Wolverines. Kendall is a smart kid, and getting in means everything to him.
*** Obviously, there has been concern in regards to Kendall and the number of interior offensive linemen Michigan is taking this cycle. Again, Michigan is full court pressing Kendall despite the upcoming Rocco Spindler decision. Ideally, Michigan would land Kendall this month and close with Spindler on Aug. 8. In that case, Spindler's decision would have no bearing on Kendall, and Kendall's decision wouldn't impact Spindler, who isn't concerned about interior OL numbers.
*** Michigan has a bit of a special weapon in the Kendall recruitment in tight end commit Louis Hansen and his father. Hansen and Kendall actually spoke earlier this week, and the two are good friends. As I posted on here a few weeks ago, they went out at played some golf and also play video games on a weekly basis. Hansen's father, Michael, is also doing his best to recruit Kendall's family.
