*** I've gone ahead and put in a FutureCast pick for Michigan to land 2022 Belleville (Mich.) High linebacker Aaron Alexander. I know others elsewhere have put in picks for him, but I wanted to balk and get more clarity on his situation. Alexander impressed Michigan at its recent on-campus camp and earned a legit offer. I'm told the Wolverines would 100 percent accept a commitment from him. Alexander is listed as a running back, only has one other DI offer (Marshall) and missed a lot of last season with a broken hand. This is definitely an upside take.

*** So how soon could we see Alexander hop onboard? As soon as this week. I caught up with Alexander, who performed in front of the Michigan staff again today in Nashville, and he told me that he wants to wrap things up very soon. While Michigan has had some issues with Belleville in the past, new assistants Ron Bellamy and Steve Clinkscale are doing a great job of mending fences at Belleville and throughout the city. Taking Alexander will be another step in the right direction in that regard.

*** I have also logged an early FutureCast pick in favor of Michigan for rising 2023 West Bloomfield (Mich.) High wide receiver Semaj Morgan. The Wolverines offered Morgan after an impressive performance at one of their recent camps and spent some more time with him today in Nashville. Morgan played for Bellamy at West Bloomfield last season, and his father told me that the family absolutely loves Bellamy and Michigan. Morgan is making the rounds this summer, but I feel like the Wolverines are in the pole position early on.
