I look forward to our team having an outstanding performance on Saturday night. We should go into the game with a chip on our shoulder given the events of last weekend and the sleight of the playoff committee. We need to take care of business against a good Rutgers team.
I think it is time for JJ to throw downfield. If our current corps of receivers are not getting separation, then let Darrius and Andrel have their shot. We need the practice of throwing before Illinois and Ohio. Those teams will already be scheming to stop the run. Lets give them something else to think about. I do not buy that we are holding back the playbook at this point 8 games into the season. We just need to get the kinks out of our passing attack soon -- before we need to have it.
The easy route would be to continue with our winning formula. I would prefer that we hone our skills differently this week.
And finally, I would like to see this message board focus forward instead of backward for the next few days. We need the team to do it, so we should also.
