that msu's win at psu did 2 things:
1: gave them a number next to their name, which would give us the chance to beat a ranked team this week
2: gave their fan base a reason to think they had a shot. So instead on a 2016-esque "we know you're going to win" (I was there and it was pathetic), they now had a lot of confidence.
I'm quite pleased that they won that game in happy valley. Set things up perfectly.
