Olathe (Kan.) North safety Isaiah Simmons was barely on the radar just a couple of weeks ago, but now he's considering Michigan as National Signing Day approaches.
The 6-3, 212-pounder may end up playing linebacker at the next level, but first he'll have to decide where he'll be playing. His three finalist are Clemson, Michigan, and Nebraska, but many seem to believe he's down to the Tigers and Wolverines.
Paul Strelow of TigerIllustrated.com has been plugged into Simmons' recruitment for a while, and even he isn't quite sure on this one.
"I was very sure it was Clemson until they started looking good for other defensive backs this afternoon," Strelow said. "It's my understanding that Nebraska is out but I haven't gotten any indication yet that Michigan or Clemson is the pick. I still think he's going to Clemson though."
Right now this one seems like a toss up but I'll say he's leaning toward Clemson as well just because of the longer relationship and familiarity with the staff.
