Yes I really am optimistic about this team. The offense will be totally different from the first game to the last. Patterson is the man, take my word on that. I don't have to say anything about the defense, everybody knows. Away games will be the key if we don't turn the ball over. The oline will be improved and the LT spot will be the key that opens the door for all of us. I'm ready for the season to start. GO BLUE ALWAYS

Yeah i need to see the offense vs Notre Dame before i start thinking optimistically. I'm not sold on Patterson he has yet to play a full season and didn't have the best stats last year.

Patterson is the starter, offense will be different in some schemes,and there may be some snaps for 2nd qb, to be determined. The defense is GOOD, and offenses are going to have problems scoring on these guys.

First games are always a learning process, but I think we will surprise some people. I don't know anything about ND defense, if they are same as last year we will probably win. They have had 3 different DC's the last 4 yrs. so ?

Any sign of life in that game will be a welcoming sign. If i remember correctly we had 2 pick-6 to open the Florida game.
