I went to the Master's practice round on Tuesday and on the way back I ran into 4 Michiganders at a Wendy's. They were making their way back to ATL from Augusta as well. When I found out where they were from (Detroit area), I asked if they were Spartan's are Wolverine's. 3 of the 4 said both... "We root for UM in football and MSU in basketball." Although I was born in Alma, I have lived in Ga. for 20 years now - I simply couldn't believe what I was hearing. They said this is more common than you would expect. Needless to say, I gave them a "Go Blue" as I headed home. That's right... I'm living in $EC country and still rooting for the Maize and Blue - it doesn't matter whether it is Football or Field Hockey - this family is ALL IN!
