Trick question. Michigan is a Defense school now.

I know it's just Norfolk St. But, giving up 13 pts in 1 half of basketball against anyone is impressive. This team's identity will be defense just like the Fighting Don Browners.

Couple of thoughts from Game 1 (mostly from the 1st half):

1) Solid game from Jon Teske. He won't be the dynamic scorer that Moe was. But, he'll be a more consistent presence. Especially, on defense. Big question is who takes Teske's back-up role from last year and runs with it.

2) Bad news that Matthews went 0-5 from the FT line. He struggled shooting the ball in general. I fear this will get in his head again if he gets off to a slow start from the FT line.

3) Livers looked good in the 1st half. I hope he pushes Iggy all season to be his best.

4) I think the 3 soph's (Poole, Livers, & Brooks) are all going to take big steps forward this year.

5) Great to see the Maize & Blue Canadian flag back @ Crisler. Hopefully, it'll be around for 2-3 seasons.
