Caris can't take enough guys off the dribble consistently. He needs another 10 lbs of muscle. He can't defend dribble drive well at all. He must work on his defense. There are flaws to his game that would be heavily exposed in the NBA
Stauskas needs to get A LOT stronger. His defense is horrible, and he's often out of position...not understanding the flow of the game. Nik's also lost his shooting confidence. He's not quick enough to take a guy off the dribble like he was in college.
Trey is a solid pro.
Tim is a nice pro, who needs to get stronger too. But, he's in the 1st year of a new system and Fisher has played him very inconsistently in terms of minutes on a game-by-game basis. Tim has nice upside, but needs 10-15 lbs. of muscle
Mitch was injured, so he's a TBD
Glenn should not have gone pro, and probably would have come back to Michigan if Mitch didn't smoke pot. A lack of ball-handling skills needs to be worked on. Glenn really needs minutes and experience, and that's been difficult to find so far.
Bottom line, a lot of incompletes so far, but if I'm Caris, I'm leaning heavily to coming back. He's not an All-American. Next year, he'll have a real shot at that as the team will be better.
Ignore all these NBA draft guys / geniuses. Trust your own vision.
