'Not a cheeseburger’ comment suggests the NCAA is hellbent on hitting Jim Harbaugh hard
Unless Michigan self-imposes a suspension on its coach, Jim Harbaugh is expected to be on the sideline for the entire Wolverine season.

It explains the process whereby the negotiated resolution with UM and NCAA staff was denied by a three member panel of the COI (using a similar analogy to the one @Highbury put forward yesterday).
It also goes on to explain in some detail multiple problems with the statement issued by the NCAA. Namely…
- Publicly comments on a case they aren’t supposed to speak on
- Publicly states the allegations despite not having issued a letter of allegation (note: UM acknowledged getting a *draft* letter in January)
- Publicly refutes the “it’s just a cheeseburger” defense without UM having itself made that public defense
- Publicly comments on a case the COI is not yet supposed to know the details
Interesting that the article also refers to a six game suspension as customary for a coach lying to investigators. I don’t recall that precedent.
