If you've been around here for a while, you would know that we have been fairly consistent that the January 6 commitment date would be likely for 2025 five-star QB Bryce Underwood. That is a special day for him, his grandmother's birthday. It's been confirmed that the date is now official for his commitment.

What does this mean for Michigan, even with the NCAA investigation?

Absolutely nothing. Business as usual.

The latest round of investigations by the NCAA has zero impact on Michigan's standing here, even our own Seth Berry confirmed it with Underwood himself on Friday.

I do very much get the sense this is coming down to a Michigan-LSU race, as it has been for a long time. Speaking to someone close to Underwood, while kids his age may always have a trick up their sleeve, it's believed he has a good idea of where he is headed.

In my OPINION, I give the nod to Michigan right now.

Kirk Campbell continues to do incredible work here and has brought the Wolverines back from the brink. I want to reiterate, that I am not close to making any official predictions, I just believe the Wolverines have the upper hand right now. There is still work to be done and more trips to be made by the Underwood family so anything could change between now and January.

I'll continue to dig as usual but wanted to share what I know and how I feel about this thing where we sit right now.
