I probably take alot of shots for my opinion on this but Ive got body amour so here goes.
This young man has alot of things he's very good at. He has alot of things that Coach B is looking for. Real good handle on the ball. One of his top attributes is head up and looking for the perfect pass option. "Highly Desired" in your point guard. Also obviously an unselfish player, which is one of Coach B's hallmark traits in his players.
But, Coach B has made his living identifying rough diamonds and hung his hat on many of them. To me however, Coach B has always found kids with perfect mechanics. If not perfect, ones that would take very little to adjust. Cassius has one glaring mechanical weakness. His shot. Yes he makes shots "at this level" in high school but its a whole different ball game in College where you have 6'3 & 6'4" kids guarding you with the same or better speed. That shot would and will be non existent at the next level. I also fear its been used too long to change much now.
I can see why they are looking now at the kid out in SanFran area. So to me, i wont be shocked to see Cassius land somewhere other than here. Nor will I look at it as a huge loss if he does. Great kid and athlete, but missing an attribute to take it to the next level, IMO
