and probably the most important offensive play of the year, was the 3rd and 6 pickup by JOK with 6:45 left in the 3rd quarter.

See the 18:40 mark of the video below. The context of the play is just as important as the play itself. We were killing ourselves all game. Including on this drive. We had just gotten a holding call that negated a great 20+ yard pickup to Grant Perry. This was the drive after the fumble on the screen pass in Purdue territory, and it was very quickly turning into a case of "jeze can we just stop killing ourselves one player at a time?!". And we did it again here - Isaac completely WHIFFED on the block (so did Ulizio btw) on a key 3rd and 6. And this was the point in the game where OKorn just said "I'm making this damn play". Shaking that rushing defender, then having the poise to square back up and hit Perry on the crossing route, was just incredibly impressive and so important for the team.

Watch the body language of the players towards O'Korn for the rest of this drive and really the rest of the game. There were basically three plays which won over the team for O'Korn in my opinion. 1) this play, 2) the QB-Tuck-And-Run where he just lowered his shoulder and bolled through the secondary for the first down on 2nd and 11 (I believe), and 3) the roughing the passer play where he picked up the 25 yard first down. And who knows if plays 2 and 3 even happen if he doesnt pickup this 3rd and 6.
