I have stayed away from the board so apologies if there was discussion on this one.

I know everyone blames the D for Saturday’s loss to Mich St. I do not. I blame the offense.
That Mich State D just gave up 38 points to Rutgers. Mich O had 17 points until a late score with almost no time left. We laid an egg on O worse than the D.

In today’s college football, you have to outscore the opponent. Every year there are top teams that win games bc their offense outshoots the opponent to wave off their upset chances.
Ohio state, Clemson, Bama gave all has situations where the D was whooped by a far inferior team offensively, but their O outscored the opponent. mich state is a team we should have put 50 on without issue.

we should be sitting here with major concerns about our D, worried about our corners, our supposed NFL DEs who were invisible the entire terrible game and the health of McGrone, but be 2-0 and heading down to Indiana. We obviously are not.

I put the loss on the O, this is 2020, Michigan should not lose to a terrible Mich St team giving up 27 points this year, period.

Don’t get me started about taking Milton out inside the 5 and running the ball then passing it with a rb. Milton is a nightmare in that position for every D and I can tell you this, mich state coaches were having a mental party he was on the bench. Most talented and dangerous player on the field in that situation is on the bench amd it cost us 4 points in a 3 point loss.
