97.1 this morning there were several fans saying the Rose Bowl (assuming we end up there) is meaningless. that's sad. we're talking about the freaking Rose Bowl (that used to be the mecca around these parts)
everything now is focused on the playoff and "who's in", everything else is rendered meaningless, almost like the NIT in hoops.
it used to be an honor to go to a bowl game and you felt like the games meant something. more people were interested and it was good for the sport.
attendance continues to decline around the country, even at football-crazy SEC schools.
