Saturday sucked...no two ways around it.

The complete lack of skill at CB was embarrassing. We are probably going to lose recruits and we will obviously get trucked by OSU (and a few others no doubt).

The thing that was so emotionally disturbing is that for the life of me, I cannot remember a two week span where the results from two weeks took the opinion of this team in two completely different directions...

  • Preseason, this team ranked anywhere from 15 - 23...with a general consensus that was about right
  • 1st Game we destroy a ranked team (please hold laughing down), and all of the sudden UM was THE hot ticket
  • 2nd Game we get beat in a rivalry game because team wasn't prepared for what they faced.
I think that crazy chasm is what is driving everyone so crazy here. UM was not NEARLY as good as we all thought and MSU was not NEARLY as bad. Does that make the pain and anguish go away. Nope.

Do I wish this program was a peer of Clemson, Alabama or OSU? Hell yes. Problem is we all got suckered into wishing that was the case last week.

This was always about 2001. The "Those that Stay..." mantra will have to be in full bloom for this to effectively happen

This season was cancelled and a gift from the gods blessed us all with a season. If you see it any other way ... (well, I'll leave that alone)

Lastly...regarding JH - you are all entitled to your opinion. People on this board who know 10 X more than what I do about football are calling for his head. Fair enough. I want him here. I'm not going to belabor why. He has my support and for the life of me, I cannot conceive an alternative I'd rather have.
