Speight was so weak in the red zone today. This offense got jobbed twice on two separate TD's so I'm not going to flame them a ton. But the fact that you had 4 possessions start in the opponents side of the field and came up with only 12 points is garbage. That's on Speight and the OL. And a few weak calls as well on 1st and 2nd and goal.
Bottom line is Speight is weak. He's a serviceable QB who is absolutely not good enough to win you games. He can keep you in a game. And can be serviceable enough score a little bit. But is anyone going to tell me that after 3 weeks of his weak performances that he's going to be able to win you a close game? When the game is tight and we need a TD? He hasn't done that in a while.
OL and QB are so weak it's laughable. Both need to improve.
So flame on Speighters. Tell us all how his 169 yards passing and zero TD's air today should spark confidence. Frankly I'm over it. We will lose a few. And unless he chooses to improve his game somehow, that won't change. This offense is simply not good enough.
