and advice. So, we're at my wife's grandmothers house. I'm helping around the house as grandpa passed away in January. We're about to leave. Saying our goodbyes and my wife all of a sudden has a horrrified look on her face. I turn around and my two year old has blood running down her face. One of the two shih tzus bit her right on the mouth. My first time being around that one. My daughter went to say goodbye to the dog and unprovoked bit her. Rush her to the ER and the doc says that they don't want to do stitches because the cuts aren't to deep and stitching could potentially trap any possibility of infection inside the wounds. Ok. Daughter is fine. But grandma comes over today and immediately goes on the defensive for the dog saying my daughter provoked because the dog was laying on the couch asleep. She said she's not going to get rid of the dog. My wife said fine but we're not going to come over there again if the dog is there. My wife's mom and step father said similar things that my daughter shouldn't mess with smaller dogs and that it's our fault letting it happen and she should know better and we're making it a big deal. I'm so mad. I feel like everyone is taking the dogs side and making excuses for it. Maybe I'm wrong but I know if my dog ever did that the first thing I would have done after getting back from the hospital would be taking it somewhere other than my house.
