I actually think this was all very clever honestly. Once the health issues started getting play in the media, all the talk was about his headaches etc. The Zach Smith story disappeared. Now Urban steps down due to health and his legacy lives on seemingly untarnished.
For all we know this "stepping down" may have been arranged back in the summer when they met to arrange the 3-game suspension.
