I thought the Illini guy led with the crown of his helmet. Dirty play? Maybe, but definitely dangerous. I don't think we'll see Evans again. Was he knocked out?
AGP. Illini running a lot of wildcat today. Possibly trying to keep George from getting knocked out.
It looked like he was knocked out to me, atleast for a moment because of the way his body stiffened up.
I thought there would have been a targeting call.
Alabama guy went top of the helmet to facemask on an A&M guy. No flag. Nothing to see here, folks.
The hit on Chris Evans was 100% helmet to helmet and the Illinois player should have been ejected for targeting. Like wise for the Bama player on the kickoff.
I like what Illinois is doing on defense. Blitz and put pressure on Speight who holds onto the ball too long.
Lovie Smith is going to do a very good job at Illinois. Team is well coached outside of that fumble.

Wasn't it 28-0 with 11 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter? Offense has gone to sleep since then. If this is what looking ahead to next week looks like, I guess I'll take it, haaa!!!
Speight dos not move well period and I have been saying that on here for some time. For the game, however, I just want to get the win and go into MSU undefeated without any injuries
I can see how Smith is going to make Illinois better, and help make the B1G more competitive. He really just needs better athletes.
Problem with big expectations is games like this. Came out on fire and then we fell asleep for two quarters. I was hoping we would be hitting on all cylinders going into the MSU game. And that didn't happen.
