lasted as coaches nowadays. It's a whole different era. You can't get physical with players (who are supposed to be tough as nails right) now. It's sort of a marshmallow watered down game from back in the day.

From concussion protocol (good) to not offending anybody now (bad). Coaches have to be on guard 24/7. Always someone talking or watching. Why not talk to Wilson and advise him of some necessary changes that need to take place.

How long do you think Woody and Bo would have lasted now? I'd say less than 5 years.

Both of those coaches survived the 60s ,radicals bombing colleges, etc. etc. Both faced the likes of Stanford with long hair, etc. etc.

Bo and Woody got their share of solid players and they could have gone to Stanford or many other pussy colleges. Players like discipline and to know they're loved even after being yelled at. Just ask today's rosters of how they feel about JH. Do think Saban hands out ice cream daily.

Yeah...but it's more than just the players now. It's all the PC factions and agenda's include the media.

I think what you are really saying is that if you win enough and have the support of big boosters then you can survive whereas IU has a story of player abuse under Knight so they are sensitive to any perceived abuse of student athletes.

To me it sounds like the AD or others didn't get along with Wilson. A 6-6 record gave them the opportunity to cut him loose. If they had won 9 he probably isn't going anywhere (it is Indiana, after all). The player abuse angle is thrown out as a smokescreen.
