you might want to reconsider being a rabid college football fan. For the foreseeable future, 50% of the "playoff" spots are destined to be consumed by Bama (or whoever can beat Bama in the SEC), plus Clemson (no one in the ACC can challenge that machine they've built, not unlike FSU in the 90's). That leaves 2 spots for the Big 12 champs, the Pac 12 champs, the Big 10 champs and whoever in the SEC might be fortunate enough to play Bama close. Further, winning the Big Ten is very hard in the current divisional structure. A playoff bid is going to be a once in 10 year event around here, assuming we have a great coach like we have now. Long odds. Stacked deck, and not in our favor.
