I know, I know he's a Buckeye but hiring him solves three of our main issues
1. He's a great, great recruiter in a state that we desperately need an in with. Count me as one of the people who feel slot of our so called culture problems is the fact we don't recruit Ohio anymore.
2. He's young and brings a fresh hip new defense to Ann Arbor. I'm sorry but I've seen to many times Jim trying to bring the band back together hires for coaches.
3. He has a real inner working of what the Ohio St/ Mich rivalry means. I feel that has been a real issue here. It seems like we're so nonchalant about it. I promise you Marcus would not be.
Combine those things with the fact that being UC defensive coordinator will never get you to the big time. They're undefeated now and are barely in the playoff top 10.
