I know a lot has been made about IB this offseason in regards to his thinner build. If I recall correctly, Zach Ertz and Colby Fleener who were both all-conference/All-American caliber at Stanford under Harbaugh (and Shaw) weren't exactly fantastic in-line blockers. They were incredible weapons in the passing game and both highly capable of stretching the field vertically. In fact, I remember them lining up mostly split wide like a WR. I'm sure Harbaugh wants a multi-dimensional TE but with Bunting's height and speed, he can be a weapon in our passing game. Fleener and Ertz were certainly pass catchers first and foremost at Stanford.
