the three who left were even making a tiny impact in the NBA this year.

Stauskas - 13 minutes. 3 points. 32 pct. from 2s and 23 pct. from 3s.
Robinson - 4 minutes 1 point. 33 pct. from 2s and 25 pct. from 3s.
McGary 1 game played.

At least Burke and Hardaway had pretty good rookie years as far as rookies go.

These guys were not NBA ready, regardless of what the so called NBA draft experts said.

I admit I haven't looked at other rookies drafted behind them, I.E. why not them if others who declared were projected to have the same or less impact but it's just frustrating, especially when you see what Kentucky is doing this year with the guys they returned.

You have a point. On the other hand: no one should blame the young men for taking the money and jumping to the NBA, even if they were not ready to make an impact. They don't come from wealthy families. As first round draft choices, the money was just too good to pass up.
