and failed to make the play several times, and it sealed the deal against us ... including their walk off plays at the end. Maybe having him trying doing too many things, and not a couple of things really well? Hate to be a "second guesser" ... but the last three games he just wasn't the same player.

Peppers was over utilized and miss used during this season. It was not fair to him or the team. It was one of the largest coaching errors of the season

Glad to see others are willing to call out some coaching issues we've seen, especially in our three close losses in the Harbaugh era.

No game is coached perfectly but 3 of his 5 losses had pretty serious issues. Not to mention your 100% correct assessment that peppers was misused all year.

I would have loved to have him used as a running back or a split end in routes. I don't know how good are his hands, but it would have been fun to have had a chance to see.

so the posters are calling out JH who has, let's see, 2 years at UM; 4 years in the NFL; 4 years at Stanford and 3 years at San Diego plus a solid NFL career.

Glad you guys know more than JH. It comforts me.

My point in my OP was that Peppers looked gassed ... was often totally out of position and chasing the plays ... and not making them, including Barrett's 40 yard run, the "first down" in second overtime, and ... the walk off touchdown. Not "calling out" JH ... just that it looked like he was over used in this the most important game ... and at crunch time, he didn't have much left in the tank.
